Summer Concert - Saturday 14th July


The concert features three of the best-known known orchestral works, plus the first complete performance of The Wrekin Suite by local composer Rory Freckleton.

  • Beethoven: Romance for Violin and Orchestra with soloist Laura Brownsell
  • Mozart: Symphony No. 40 in G minor
  • Rory Freckleton: Wrekin Suite


The Wrekin Suite includes movements depicting Telford as the birthplace of industry, the Mighty Wrekin, and the River Severn and Ironbridge. It is particularly fitting this year which is the 50th anniversary of the town of Telford.


The concert is on Saturday 14th July, at 7:30.

The venue is St Michael's Church Madeley TF7 5BN.


Tickets are 10 - students free - and are available on the door.



Telford Orchestra
