Telford Orchestra Welcomes a New Conductor

We would like to welcome Michael Turner, our Guest Conductor for the spring term.

Michael is an experienced orchestral and choral conductor working with both professional and amateur ensembles including Milton Keynes City Orchestra, Manchester Camerata, and Oswestry Sinfonia. He is Music Director of both the Stretton Choral Society and the Bloomsbury Chamber Orchestra.

He is also a prolific composer and has written Horn and Violin Concertos, orchestral and choral pieces, instrumental music and works for smaller ensembles.

Michael is from Birmingham and studied music at Leicester University, playing violin, viola and percussion.

The Orchestra

We normally perform three concerts per year, covering a range of classical music from the 17th to the 21st century. Our emphasis is on enjoying making music together in the local community. If you are interested in joining us you’ll find more information on this website.
